What is the essential definition of “Affiliate Marketing” and why is it so valuable in
the online marketing world?

Although it was conceived of a little more than a decade ago, affiliate marketing today has already mushroomed into a multibillion-dollar worldwide industry.

Affiliate marketing is based on the completion of an action (conversion), whether it be a lead, sale, download, app install, subscription, pin-submit etc. Fundamentally, a merchant or advertiser agrees to pay another party (the affiliate) for every completion of the desired action. Typically, the more the difficult it is for an affiliate to get a user to complete a specific action, the higher an affiliate should predict to be paid for prompting that action.

However, it is crucial for the advertiser to specify how and what makes the end user’s actions qualify for affiliate payment. This is why the quality of leads/traffic is so important to both affiliates (you) and advertisers. If an affiliate sends low quality traffic to a specific advertiser’s offer, the advertiser could potentially pause that affiliate from running that offer. This is often due to the fact that low quality conversions/actions do not benefit the advertiser’s return on investment (ROI). In most cases, quality is key when it comes to affiliate marketing. So even though your main focus is on collecting as many conversions/actions as you can, you must also equally prioritize the quality of your traffic in order to guarantee your success and longevity within our network.

How does affiliaXe keep track of my conversions?

We track via links, cookies, and sometimes post-back URLs depending on the offer. Our tracking platform is considered to be one of the best in the industry and all the traffic is tracked in real time.

Who can I contact with general questions about my account and/or affiliaXe?

What is the specific role of my affiliate manager?

Your Affiliate Manager’s role is quite crucial, especially in terms of your involvement and continued work within our network. Your AM essentially manages all aspects of your account. Not only are they in charge of your payments, they also analyze your conversions, help connect you with the best offers for your vertical(s), traffic, and geo(s), and guide you on how to best maximize your earnings. If you have any questions regarding specific offers, issues with your account, or possible payment bumps, your Affiliate Manager is the one to contact.

Where is affiliaXe located and what are the office hours?

Our office is located in the 2nd best high-tech center in the world, sunny and dynamic Tel Aviv, Israel. Our time zone is UTC/GMT+2 and our specific office hours are 10:00am - 7:00pm. Please note that the work week in Israel differs from other countries in that our work days are Sunday through Thursday.

Are leads/sales tracked in real time or delayed?

Impressions and clicks are tracked in real time. Leads/sales are tracked in real time as well but sometimes it might take up to 10 minutes to appear on your statistic report.

I’ve heard there are many people (super affiliates) who are making serious amounts of money
through affiliate marketing, how can I do this as well?

In the beginning, affiliate marketing is not easy. It can be very profitable but it takes patience, wits, strategy, and a lot of experimentation. At first, you will lose money, but the lost money is nothing compared to what you can gain. You should consider the “lost money” as valuable data on which targeting/sources are profitable and which are not. Essentially, most “super affiliates” are Media Buyers (in display, ppv, ppc, and/or social ads) and/or they have a HUGE mailing list (10 Million plus subscribers).

The fastest and most efficient route to begin with is media buying. However, you first must define your initial budget; it has to be a large enough budget to be able to bring in a decent amount of traffic and be able to optimize accordingly. However, do not make your initial budget TOO big to the point where you do not see much return. Once you have determined your budget, you should then focus on 1-3 offers maximum to dedicate your funds and energy towards. Be resourceful and utilize your Affiliate Manager and our Monetizer in order to fully understand which offers are working best.

These offers need to be compatible with your traffic type. For example, if your traffic source is Adwords, Bing, or 7search you should select offers that are successful on search (ppc) or if your traffic source is Trafficvance or Lead Impact then you should select offers that are fitting for PPV.

Once you have determined your offers and traffic source, you should launch some campaigns that you think will work best. Thoroughly analyze the success rate of your offers and traffic in order to optimize your performance. You can use the report on our platform to critically assess and track which combination of niche, audience, and traffic is most effective and favorable considering your budget, time etc. Be patient and always look for ways to improve your campaigns (e.g. better ads, targeting, and keywords).

Once you have established a strong and effective foundation of variables and begun to see profits flow in, it’s time to steadily increase your budget for what’s working and cut the budget for less successful campaigns. Maintain this approach as you try different offers and grow your account. Good luck!

What type of traffic do you allow?

We allow a variety of traffic on our network such as PPV, PPC, Social Media, and/or email. However, 98% of our traffic is non-incentivized which means that advertisers do not allow an affiliate to provide the consumer with an incentive/reward for them to complete an offer (e.g. content locking, virtual currency, extra points in games etc.). Most advertisers do not like incentivized traffic because it is often lower in quality compared to other traffic. This is due to the fact that the incentives can push a consumer to complete an offer that they probably have no genuine interest in. Thus, the leads the advertiser ends up receiving are ultimately unprofitable and you will most likely be paused from running this offer. Furthermore, you will not be paid for leads that came from incentivized traffic to a non-incentivized offer and there is a high potential that your affiliaXe account will be blocked. Please follow each offer’s specific guidelines and you shouldn’t encounter this unpleasant issue.

What is affiliaXe’s referral program? Does it help me make more money?

affiliaXe's referral program is a great way for you to make more money! Each affiliate is given a unique referral link that they can share with friends and/or post on forums and blogs. Once your friends sign up with your link and start earning with affiliaXe, both you and them earn extra 4% of their monthly commission for the first 6 months of their account.

You can refer as many friends as you like and there's no limit to how much you can earn. You can retrieve your unique referral link by clicking on the "affiliaXe Friends $" tab on the left-hand side of your dashboard.


What are impressions, clicks, and conversions?

An impression is the display of an ad to a user while viewing a web page, visiting a mobile app, or opening an email with an ad creative and involves no action on the user’s side.

A click is when a user physically clicks on an ad such as the ads mentioned above.

A conversion is when a user (who had clicked on an ad) completes the desired action stated by the advertiser (such as a lead, download, app install, subscription, sale etc.). Inside the offer page it usually clearly states the advertiser’s desired action that the advertiser is paying commission for. If you cannot find these details or need clarification, please contact the Affiliate Help Desk or your Affiliate Manager.

What is a landing page?

A landing page, is the first page a user “lands” after they click on an ad. These pages are supplied by the advertiser. In most cases, it contains a form solely dedicated to gathering a user’s information (Lead). In other cases, this page will direct the user to the final action/conversion page such as a product sale page or app download page. Quality landing pages will always have a strong call to action and a relative, appealing visual element. An optimized landing page that is direct, motivating, and organized is one of the best ways to prompt a conversion. Often an advertiser will provide a set of different landing pages per offer for the affiliate to choose from. The affiliate can utilize these landing pages to split test his traffic and determine the best converting landing page for his traffic.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a single, unique URL that contains the ID of the affiliate. This special URL allows us to track your traffic, clicks, conversions etc. in relation to a specific offer.

Bridge pages/Splash pages/Jump pages and squeeze pages - vs. direct linking?

Bridge pages/splash pages/jump page
Are essentially the same in that they are designed to warm up the user before they reach the offer page and thus increase the overall conversion rate. They usually include an alluring image, appealing description (e.g. “You are about to access an amazing offer that will change your life…”), testimonials and a “continue” button with a call to action that will lead to the offer page. This method is highly effective and recommended for almost any offer in any vertical, and we have seen overall conversion rates increase up to 3X more than those affiliate campaigns that do not utilize this method. This method can also help you with campaign approval at traffic sources if they have a problem with approving the standard offer landing page.

Squeeze Page
A squeeze page is a basic landing page with a strong call to action that is designed to gather opt in’s via email address submissions. This is a highly effective way to build your email list and still earn from a campaign at the same time.

Direct Linking
Direct linking is basically when you push traffic directly to the offer’s tracking link without any page between the ad and the offer landing page. This is the most simple way to start off promoting although it is not the most effective. On an additional note, some advertisers are not so fond of this method of promotion. You are allowed to use this method unless stated otherwise in the offer’s details, but we highly recommend that you use an intermediate page between the ad and the offer landing page in order to increase your conversion rate.

What is SOI vs. DOI

SOI (Single Opt In)- Is when a user must submit their email or check a box in order to subscribe to a list or register for a membership. Once they complete that said, single action, the conversion is complete.

DOI (Double Opt In)

Is when a user submits their email for a list or membership, and then must confirm that submission via a confirmation email that is sent to that address. The user must then partake in an action, such as clicking a link, in order to confirm that the address is valid. The traffic is typically very high quality for offers that have DOI because only the true owner of the email address is able to sign up and confirm their interest in that offer.

What is EPC and what does it tell me?

EPC helps you gauge and compare different offers and how well they perform. The average EPC of an offer tells you the Earning Per Click for that specific offer for all the affiliates running it. However this is not the only factor to consider when analyzing an offer because many affiliates traffic can vary significantly from each other. Some have high converting traffic while others have low converting traffic, which both affect the EPC. That being said, it is still an important variable to reference when choosing an offer.

For Example: Let’s say you sent 100 clicks to an offer with a payout of $10.00 and you received one conversion.

So your EPC will be as follows: $10/100 = $0.10

What is ECPM and what does it tell me?

ECPM stands for "effective cost per thousand impressions".

(Profit / Impressions) X 1000

While we don’t typically note ECPM on our platform because we don’t track impressions (unless you are using our banner tags), you can usually calculate your ECPM if you are using an additional tracking system that tracks your impressions or by connecting your traffic source pixel to our platform. As a result, you should see the ECPM stats in your traffic source interface. Additionally, you can calculate it by hand by taking the total earnings you made and dividing it by the amount of impressions you sent, times 1,000.

What is the difference between “gross clicks” and “unique clicks”?

Gross Clicks: Gross clicks are the absolute total amount of clicks you have received from tracking links, this doesn't take into account if the user has clicked the link before, they will still count as a gross click. Simply, any time a user redirects through a tracking link successfully this is counted as a gross click in the system and a session ID (or transaction ID as we call them) is generated. If a user clicks a tracking link and then later reclicks the same tracking link, this will show as 2 gross clicks in the system.

Unique Clicks: A unique click is a bit different from a gross click. They are measured at the user level, so if a user clicks a tracking link, and later reclicks the link, this will only track 1 unique click since the user has already clicked the tracking link before, so the second time is omitted from the unique click metrics.

What is client-based tracking (Cookie Tracking / Pixel Tracking)?

Client-based tracking relies on cookies which are small text files set on the visitor’s computer that store information such as Affiliate ID, Transaction ID, date and time of visit, etc. There are two types of conversion tracking, iFrame/Javascript Pixels and Image Pixel.

Both types involve placing an iFrame/JavaScript or Image Pixel on the confirmation page for an offer. Our tracking platform will place this iFrame or Image pixel on the advertiser’s confirmation page for that specific offer. Internet users see that specific advertisement and click on the tracking link for that offer. The tracking link records the click, sets a cookie on the user’s computer and redirects the user to the offer URL. If the user then continues and buys something and makes it to a confirmation page, the iFrame or Image Pixel is fired. When the iFrame or Image Pixel is fired, the user’s browser sends the cookie information to our tracking platform and if it is valid it records a conversion.

The HTTP iFrame Pixel is the industry standard for tracking conversions. iFrame pixels are the recommended tracking options as they provide robust ways for you to track conversions and piggy-back third-party pixels. Most of our offers work with iFrame pixels. If the offer is tracked by HTTPS iFrame Pixel then, all affiliates pixels for the offer are required to be HTTPS.

Although Image Pixel is the less recommended form of client-based tracking, some advertisers only accept Image Pixels due to their own technology limitations. The main difference between Image and iFrame pixels is that iFrame pixels allow affiliates to use client-based cookie tracking with their third party systems while Image pixels prevent affiliates from using client-based cookie tracking.

If it is noted in the offer details that the offer is tracked by iFrame/Javascript pixels then the affiliate can implement his own client-based pixel or set a postback URL (S2S Tracking) for tracking conversions on his third party platform. If the offer is tracked by image pixels then the affiliate can only set a postback URL to track his conversions on his third party platform.

What is server-based tracking (Postback URL / S2S)?

Some offers require server-based tracking (such as mobile offers). Server-based tracking methods don’t use cookies for storing and tracking information. Instead the tracking information is stored on the server and IDs associated with the records. Then on conversion a server does a postback to register a conversion – Server Postbacks. Server Postbacks are commonly used for offers that require post conversion authentication in which the user is not available when authentication is completed and thus client-based tracking cannot be used.

Just like Image Pixels, Server Postbacks prevent affiliates from using client-based cookie tracking with their own third-party systems. Instead, affiliates are enabled to place their own Postback URL. When the advertiser calls the tracking platform with an offer’s Server Postback URL and successfully tracks a conversion, the tracking platform then calls the affiliate’s Postback URL.

What is a charge back?

A chargeback is when a credit or debit card purchase is refunded, because the card holder:
• Didn’t recognize the charges
• Was charged more than once for the same purchase
• Was wrongly charged because of a processing issue
• Was charged a different amount than what was originally agreed upon
• The charge was made with a stolen or fraudulent credit card

If an affiliate’s conversion is determined by cost per sale, cost per subscription, Revenue Share or any other conversion that involves a credit card purchase, and then a chargeback occurs, mostly likely that affiliate’s conversion will be deducted by the advertiser because it is viewed ultimately as an “incomplete” or “Fraudulent” action/conversion.

What is “conversion deduction”?

As mentioned earlier, following the offer guidelines and sending proper quality traffic to an advertiser’s offer is crucial to being a successful affiliate. However, when an affiliate does not adhere to this practice he might encounter “conversion deduction” from the advertiser. “Conversion deduction” is when an advertiser does not pay for invalid, duplicate leads/conversions or fraudulent leads/conversions. In addition, affiliate’s conversions can also be deducted if they are misrepresenting a product and/or damaging the advertiser’s name. Please follow each offer’s specific guidelines and you shouldn’t encounter this unpleasant issue.

Traffic Types


Refers to traffic generated from banners or flash ads that are placed on your website/blog or some other site. You can also buy ad space directly from another site or from an ad network. It is fundamentally, the action of buying media from sites and/or ad networks and often goes by the name “media buying”.


PPV (Pay Per View) is essentially advertising through pop-ups/pop-unders or interstitial pages.

An interstitial page is an ad that appears on a page for a few seconds before a user proceeds to the next page on the site he is browsing.

With PPV you can usually trigger these ads when a user from a specific country is on a specific site or by unique keyword targeting (depending on the targeting capabilities of the ad network you are buying traffic from).

It is crucial that you fully understand your demographic before you begin with a PPV campaign. One of the worst mistakes affiliates can make is by not completely defining and comprehending who they want to target.

By working with PPV Networks you can create highly targeted campaigns and/or more far-reaching campaigns depending on your budget, audience, etc.

Two of the easiest ways to utilize PPV to promote offers are by sending traffic to short, simple lead generation forms or by gathering email leads and then emailing those leads regarding different products/offers. Another highly effective approach to pair with PPV (or with any other traffic type) is by creating a splash page/jump page that will highly motivate and intrigue the user in regards to the advertiser’s product that they are about to view. This splash page typically consists of an appealing image, strong call to action text, and “continue” button that will lead to the advertiser’s landing page for the user to complete the conversion.

Search (SEO and PPC)

SEO, which stands for “Search Engine Optimization,” is essentially the process of improving a website’s visibility in a search engine’s search results for a specific set of keywords - by targeting keywords, images, and/or videos. This method works with natural traffic and involves no payment to a search engine. For most, finding medium/long -tailed keywords with a good amount of traffic and little competition is fundamental to being successful with SEO. If a searched keyword has less than 1 million results it is worth considering utilizing. While SEO is a slow, time consuming process, that can often be affected by a search engine’s change of algorithms, it ultimately does not deduct from your marketing budget. It is typically the case that new affiliates begin with SEO and then progress to PPC as they grow their budget and work to significantly increase their volume of earnings and stabilize traffic flow.

On the other hand, PPC, which stands for “Pay Per Click”, does involve consideration of one’s budget. Here, affiliates and PPC media buyers bid on keywords and the ad of the one with the highest bid is then placed in the highest position on the search engine’s rankings. Unlike SEO this is an instant way to appear at the top of search engines for specific keywords and gain highly targeted traffic. Although it can cost an affiliate more per click than other sources, this traffic type is considered to be extremely high in quality with a significantly high conversion rate. Carefully calculate and establish your daily budget when beginning with PPC and always look to improve your campaign results by optimizing ads, keywords, ad groups, devices, and other targeting settings. Some search engines can be more strict depending on the affiliate’s offer and methods. Select a search engine according to the offer and methods you want to utilize and the ultimate amount of traffic you want to get. For example Google, Yahoo, and Bing are considered 1st tier search engines meaning they are more strict but undoubtedly have more traffic volume as they are biggest. On the other hand 7search and local search engines such as Baidu (Chinese) and Yandex (Russian), are 2nd tier search engines and are thus known to be less strict and easier to start with. However, they ultimately have less traffic volume compared to their bigger counterparts.

Please keep in mind that bidding on keywords that contain the advertiser's brand and/or product name (known as “brand-bidding”) is strictly prohibited and could lead to conversion deduction and even a suspension of your affiliaXe account. Thus, please avoid targeting the advertiser and/or offer name in your keyword selection.

Email Marketing

Basically, “Email Marketing” is directly marketing a commercial message via email. Email marketing is one of the most profitable forms of marketing because almost half of internet users check their email daily and it is a way to reach a user precisely with information regarding an offer. Additionally, emails often allow an affiliate to reach out to a user regarding an offer by using the specific user’s name in the call to action. This personalization aspect is one of the advantages of email marketing compared to other traffic types. Email marketing places a strong reliance on quality, targeted, lengthy contact lists.

Building and monetizing an email list
When building your own lists, it is often the best practice to create a product (such as an ebook) or give something away for free in return for a user supplying their email. Once you have created a “product” you can most effectively gather emails by utilizing a “squeeze page”. A squeeze page is a basic landing page with a strong call to action that is designed to garner opt in’s via email address submissions. Be smart about your choice of words for your “call to action” and research squeeze page templates before building your own.

Once someone has opted in to your list you can easily send them a sequence of set emails by utilizing an auto responder. Then it is all about testing which emails and formats work well with users and convert the best. Try not to bombard users with products or they might feel overwhelmed and unsubscribe from your list. Instead, try to allude/casually hint to products amongst quality content.

However, bear in mind that any advertising through email that incorporates spamming or unsolicited commercial email is unacceptable and can be subject for penalization under the CAN-SPAM Act ( In addition, you must always include an “unsubscribe link” within your emails.


Social marketing is a form of internet marketing on any social media platform such as forums, microblogs, and social networks. Significantly, the viral characteristic of social marketing situates it as one of the most popular forms of CPA marketing.

FREE Social Traffic
You can partake in cost-free methods with social marketing such as tweeting deals on Twitter and/or creating a Facebook pages/groups around a product and/or relative subject.

PAID Social Traffic (e.g. Facebook Ads)
There are markedly more benefits from utilizing paid social traffic versus free social traffic. One of the biggest advantages of paid social traffic is the vast size of the target audience and thus the ability to create campaigns of any size. Another advantage of social paid ads is the ability to directly target users by their age, gender, country, relationship status, and interests/page likes.


While mobile used to be quite an untapped marketing medium, it is currently the fastest growing advertising space in the marketing world. Fundamentally, people almost always have their mobile phone on them, whether they are at the park or waiting in line at the airport. As a result, marketing via mobile is one of the best ways to reach out to users because they are almost always on their device. To adjust to the rapid growth of mobile, most website owners and advertisers have created “responsive sites”; basically a page that automatically adjusts itself to the resolution and size of the screen or dedicated mobile apps.

When working with mobile you must consider which facet you want to target: mobile optimized sites or mobile apps. Marketing on mobile devices is quite similar to Display(Banners) however you need to take more variables into consideration. It is crucial to define the following variables before selecting a campaign to work with:

1. Which device are you targeting? (iPhone, Android etc)
2. Which operating system?
3. Which operating system version?
4. Which carrier? (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc.)
5. Users with data subscription vs. prepaid cards
6. Wifi enabled? (sometimes there can be issues with conversions on wifi)

Focusing on mobile traffic is a smart choice for an affiliate seeing as it is such a flourishing market with a lot of potential for success. You should always look for ways to improve your campaigns by testing and optimizing your ads, sources, devices, operating systems, carriers, and other targeting options to ultimately find the best, most profitable combinations. Once you find the most successful combination of ad sources and mobile variables, you should increase your budget for that specific sequence and then apply this targeting strategy to more mobile ad networks/traffic sources.


Incent-based marketing focuses on facilitating a desired action by offering a user a specific incentive for completing a conversion. For example a user might be wanting to watch a television show on an affiliate’s website but in order for them to be able to access that said video, the user first has to fill out a lead page for an offer, thus incentivizing the conversion for that offer. This is known as content-locking, a specific type of incentivized marketing that is often disliked by advertisers. Other types of incentivized traffic can consist of giving rewards, virtual currency, in-game bonuses/upgrades, and many others. If you want to make sure that your traffic is not considered incentivized, ask yourself: “Is this user converting due to a genuine interest in the offer I am promoting or are they motivated by some outside benefit/reward?”

The reason why many advertisers forbid incent traffic is because the quality of the traffic is extremely low. However, some advertisers do permit incentivized traffic and will note that in the offer details. Remember to read thoroughly through the details on “allowed” and “not allowed” traffic for an offer. Typically if an offer is incentivizable it will say “[INCENTIVIZED]” in the beginning of the offer’s title on our platform. Usually Incentivized offers tend to have a low payout due to the low quality of traffic, yet it is very easy to get conversions from these types of offers.

Please keep in mind that sending incentivized traffic to a non incentivized offer is strictly prohibited and could lead to conversion deduction and a suspension of your affiliaXe account. Thus, please double check the offer restrictions and make sure the offer you want to promote is accepting Incentivized traffic before sending this type of traffic. You can also reach out to your affiliate manager if you have any uncertainty regarding whether your traffic will be considered incentivized or not.

How can I find out which are the top offers?

Your affiliate manager is your go-to person for all questions regarding our top offers in each geo (country), vertical, and traffic type. Additionally, you can also reference our weekly “Monetizer” to inform yourself of our top converting offers by traffic type from the previous week.

Can I work with offers in other countries other than my own?

Yes of course. Many affiliates are quite successful with promoting outside their country. They are buying media from global traffic sources, such as Google, Facebook, and other global ad networks or by using local traffic sources. These advanced, international traffic sources allow you to target users in specific countries for your campaigns.

Additionally, many affiliates are utilizing the site One Hour Translation ( to translate their ads and properly target international users in their native tongue. This site allows you to easily and quickly translate your ads/banners into any language. You pay a few cents per word and the translation is completed by a native speaker within an hour.

Some offers require me to fill out an additional application, what does that mean?

Many advertisers are very strict about who works with their offers and how they are marketed. When this is the case, advertisers require affiliates to fill out an additional short application in order to be considered to run a specific offer. Be as detailed as possible when answering the questions and thus increase your chances to be approved for that particular offer.

How many of your offers are incentivized?

None of our offers are incentivized.

Can I customize or make my own ads/banners?

Yes, but it depends on the offer and advertiser’s guidelines. Many offers supply their own creatives while others allow affiliates to design their own creatives and then require them to be submitted for approval. On the other hand, there are many offers that actually don’t require approval of banners. However, always exercise carefulness and make sure you read the offer details thoroughly before going ahead with a creative (ad/banner). Do not utilize creatives that could mislead the user and/or hurt the brand. If you are unsure about the appropriateness and quality of your banner you can always contact your affiliate manager.

Do I need to utilize the listed “from” and “subject” lines for emails?

If an advertiser has supplied a list of “from” and “subject” formats for email traffic you MUST utilize the given forms. Utilizing your own email creative would go against the advertiser’s guidelines and might result in conversion deduction and/or being paused from running this specific offer.

What is a suppression list?

A Suppression List is a list of suppressed e-mail addresses used by e-mail senders to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. CAN-SPAM requires that senders of commercial emails provide a functioning opt-out mechanism by which email recipients can unsubscribe their email address from future email messages. The unsubscribed email addresses are placed into a "suppression list" which is used to "suppress" future email messages to that email address. When running email campaigns, you MUST respect the advertiser’s supplied suppression list.

Can I customize or make my own email creatives?

If an advertiser has not supplied a list of approved “from” and “subject” lines then you are allowed to utilize your own email creatives. HOWEVER, do not utilize creatives that could mislead the user and/or hurt the brand.

Why is my tracking link redirecting me to a different offer or an “oops” page?

There are multiple reasons why this can occur:

1. The offer has been paused
2. The offer is not available for the country that you are trying to access it from
3. The offer is capped and has reached its limit of leads per day
4. There is some other technical issue
5. You are not approved to run this offer

When I click on my tracking link I am directed to a different offer's landing page, and not to the relevant one. Why is that?

Since advertisers only pay for conversions made in specific countries they allow, we use a feature called a Geo Enforcement. Only a user from the offer’s country can get access to the offer’s landing page.
In order not to lose the traffic an affiliate sends from a non-allowed country, we redirect users not from the offer’s allowed countries, to a global offer that can convert on these countries.

Can I test offers myself or have my friends complete them? No!

What if an offer says “no incentivized traffic” but I think it will be the best way to
promote an offer?

You may only use incent traffic for an offer that clearly states that incentivization is allowed. If you go against the advertiser’s regulations and utilize this type of traffic when it does not state that it is allowed, your conversions can be scrubbed, you can be blocked from that offer, and/or you can be banned from our network.

What is brand bidding and why can’t I partake in it?

The practice of brand bidding is to use the brand or product names of a particular advertiser to generate traffic. Brand bidding is a method that usually applies to PPC traffic by targeting the brand or product name keyword. In most cases, advertisers do not allow brand bidding. When reading through an offer’s details, unless otherwise stated that it is allowed, you should always assume that the advertiser does not permit brand bidding.

However, sometimes affiliates can be given permission by the advertiser to brand name bid. In other cases, some advertisers will make a decision to ban brand name bidding to all, expect for a small group of affiliates, this decision is entirely down to the merchant.

If you partake in brand bidding, without written consent from your affiliate manager, you are risking being blocked from that particular offer and having your conversions scrubbed by the advertiser.

What happens if I do not follow an advertiser’s guidelines for a particular offer?

Depending on the severity of your actions, your leads can be scrubbed, you can be blocked from that offer (and all other offers from that advertiser), and/or you can be banned from our network. If you follow an advertiser’s guidelines and utilize legitimate traffic, then you shouldn’t experience any issues.


When will you pay me?

We will pay you every 2 weeks (You get paid twice a month, first payment cycle is on the 15th and the second payment cycle is at end of the month). Minimum payout is $100. In order to get paid you have to reach a minimum of $100 or 100€ worth of conversions in total in order for an invoice to be generated. Contact your Affiliate Manager for more information and options.

How will you pay me?

You can request payment via PayPal, Payoneer, ACH (US Only), or Bank Wire. affiliaXe uses Tipalti as its trusted payment system operator. You will receive details of signing up to Tipalti and choosing your preferred payment method. When choosing your preferred payment method, you will also be provided with more information currency conversion options and fees.

Payoneer - if you have an existing Payoneer account you can link it with our account when choosing the payment method. If you are new to Payoneer we will lead you through the signup process. If needed, contact your Affiliate Manager for more information on payment methods.

What kind of rates and payouts can I expect?

Because of our efficient team and automated workflows; we are able to minimize our commission and give you the best payouts in the industry. Account and Campaign Issues

Why does the amount of clicks on my report not match up with the number clicks I’ve
actually sent?

In our platform we only track “Unique Clicks”. “Gross clicks” are all clicks via a tracking link. “Unique clicks” enforce whether the person clicking has clicked on a tracking link before. “Unique clicks” are the number of the unique users that click on a tracking link while “gross clicks” are all the clicks for a tracking link. If a user clicks 5 times on a tracking link, the ad servers will record 5 “gross clicks” and 1 “unique click.” On your dashboard with affiliaXe “clicks” means “unique clicks”.

Why do I see some clicks/leads in my stats on campaigns I've never advertised?

This is a fairly common scenario and can typically happen for two reasons:

1. If you are running an offer that has expired, been paused, or reached the CAP limit, we typically redirect that offer’s remaining traffic to a similar offer depending on your geo.

2. If you are running an offer which accepts traffic only from particular countries but some differing foreign traffic is trying to access that same offer’s landing page, we redirect the foreign clicks to an offer that is compatible with traffic from those differing countries. Even though you had not planned to target those geos, you still have a chance to earn something from their traffic.

Ultimately, all of this redirected traffic will appear in your stats under the offer they were redirected to.

Why am I not seeing a record of conversions when I was sure they had been generated?

Basically, if you are aware that a conversion has been made, that conversion was most likely actively completed by yourself or a family member/friend. Please do not partake in “forced conversions”. This is considered fraudulent by the advertiser and can put your account at risk of being banned from our network.

We test all offers before letting them go live, however, in some very rare cases there can be a tracking issue. If you want to make sure the offer is tracking properly and/or you want to test your pixels/postback URLs associated with the offer, then please contact your affiliate manager and they will assist you with running a proper test.
